Social Media Templates
Each template has a unique and visually dynamic design. The colour palette and font choices were chosen with cultural significance in mind. I leveraged Adobe software to overcome Canva’s limitations and create unique and customizable graphics.
Holiday Fact Sheets
I designed dynamic layouts for 15 diverse holidays. The fact sheets aim to educate, celebrate, and create awareness. Using my knowledge of readability and flow I organized the information into easy to digest sections. Highlighting key points, and breaking up large portions of text. The result is a visually striking layout, that grabs the user’s attention. The smooth flow of text makes the information easy to understand and retain.
User Guide
Ensuring usability and adding value to the package, the User Guide is a foolproof road map to getting the most from the Diversity Calendar Toolkit. It walks the user through exactly what is included, how to use it, and why it’s important. Offering suggestions on how to start cross-cultural conversations, empowering small business owners to amplify their commitment to diversity.
My Take
I approached this project first by learning about the different holidays included and understanding the symbolism that is used and why.
I established a look and feel for each holiday, using colours, symbolism and text that align with that specific holiday. Because these templates needed to be customizable and purchasable, I used Canva. Although Canva doesn’t allow for total design control, with some creative problem solving I discovered workarounds for these limitations. Finally, I designed the User Guide as well as creating the how-to-use instructions for each asset. After all the pieces came into place, and a couple of rounds of user testing, we launched the product on the MT Consulting website.
These visually striking designs and user friendly instructions make the Diversity Calendar Toolkit an easy way to educate yourself and show your commitment to inclusivity.
