Yukon Makes is a campaign created in partnership with Yukon Tourism. Its goal is to celebrate 12 talented makers and community builders by sharing their stories and making the connection between product, creator, and community. Yukon Makes illustrates how small businesses help shape culture but also how their locale shapes their business. This campaign was brought to life through digital storytelling, workshops, and events.

My Take
To create a reel that captured the essence and beauty of the Yukon and to showcase the talented entrepreneurs. I started by watching the interviews we conducted with the makers who were a part of the Yukon Makes campaign. The most important part was to stay true to the entrepreneurial stories we heard and create something that cultivated a sense of inspiration and tenacity.
I chose to take memorable sound bites from select interviews; accompany them with some breath-taking footage licensed from Yukon Tourism and animate the keywords to hit home the message. The result tells a story of perseverance and passion in a remote and rugged environment.
